“The Light After the Blues” is a musical meditation about keeping hope alive while we’re going through the blues.

It is written in two continuous movements. The first movement, “Deep Blues” (measures 1 – 69) expresses the feeling of being deep in the blues. The second movement, “A Light Beyond” (70 – end) expresses transcending the blues and living for a brighter day, but always remembering the lessons of living the blues.
