This song was inspired by the power of the Sabbath that I experience in my life, as a source of energy and renewal, in addition to the sadness of meeting many people who have no Sabbath in their lives.

The “echo” part in this piece symbolizes a reminder from the higher self about the gift of the Sabbath.

Twenty-four hour monitoring, availability,
We need ancient wisdom of the Sabbath
Now as much as ever before in human history.

Sabbath teaches us there’s more to life than money.
We must work hard. We need money to survive.
But if all we ever think about are money and survival,
We lose the sacred in our lives.

In a world of the wired and wireless,
Work follows us everywhere we go.
In the day, in the night, on weekends,
Networks reach out for us with expanding nodes.

Sabbath teaches us to take the time to re-fresh.
